After 40 years in the computer industry working for IBM and later as a defense contractor, Dave turned his efforts to the non-profit world by earning an Equipping Lay Ministry Certificate from Wesley Theological Seminary and studying at the Lutheran Theological Seminary at Gettysburg. He currently serves on several nonprofit boards and volunteers at his church.
Among many other things, Dave has been the Treasurer of Living Stones Via de Cristo since 2015. He was a member of the Montgomery County Food Council for four years and an Ex-Officio member of the board of directors of Celestial Manna, a faith-based 501(c)(3) food recovery nonprofit, for three years. In total, he has served on nine nonprofit boards.
Dave was trained by AWAI, the American Writers and Artists Institute. Founded in 1997, AWAI is the world’s leading provider of copywriting training programs.
His passion for helping nonprofits is something Dave has done throughout his life. Now retired and working part-time, he is marrying content writing and copywriting with this passion in mind.
